Definition of soft magnetic materials

What is soft magnetic material:

Usually we take the value obtained after the excitation is saturated as the Hc value of the material. Generally, materials with Hc less than 1000A/m are called soft magnetic materials. Soft magnetic materials are magnetic materials with low coercivity and high permeability. Soft magnets are easy to magnetize and demagnetize. They exhibit "soft" characteristics in magnetism and are widely used in electrical and electronic equipment.

Characteristics of soft magnetic materials:

The basic characteristics of soft magnetic materials are easy magnetization and demagnetization. The characteristics reflected in the hysteresis loop and magnetization curve are high permeability μ, small coercive force Hc, high saturation magnetic induction intensity and low hysteresis loss. Therefore, soft magnetic materials are widely used in various motors, transformers, relays, magnetic amplifiers, electromagnet pole heads and sensors in various measuring instruments. It can be seen that soft magnetic materials are mainly used in AC excitation occasions, but soft magnetic materials are also widely used as occasions to generate DC magnetic flux. Therefore, measuring the DC magnetic properties of soft magnetic materials is a key indicator for evaluating material performance under low frequency fields.

Classification of soft magnetic materials:

Three ferromagnetic elements, iron, cobalt, and nickel, are the basic components of magnetic materials. According to (main ingredients, magnetic characteristics, structural characteristics) product shape classification can be divided into:

1. Alloys: silicon steel sheet, permalloy, amorphous and nanocrystalline alloys

2. Powder cores: magnetic powder cores, including iron powder cores, sendust cores, high flux powder cores (High Flux), permalloy powder cores (MPP)

3. Ferrites: they are special powder cores, including: manganese-zinc series, nickel-zinc series
